Screw ups by UKCAT
The tests seem to be getting buggered up quite a lot.
It sounds like the whole thing is a bit of a joke to be honest.
Computers crashing, calculators being handheld or pc ones.
If yours gets/got screwed up I strongly suggest you contact the UKCAT people to complain and threaten them with legal action and make them give a letter detailing the events which occured in the test, which can be sent to UCAS and the unis you applied to. It is UNEXCEPTABLE. Just as if something majorly disrupted your A level exams, your school would notify the exam board and you'd get a small allowence.
Although then that is poor. Example: Someone I know was doing a biology paper and the 3rd question as about cancer.... she'd lost a family member (Aunt) to the exact same cancer as was in the question. She broke down and couldn't finish the paper. The exam board only gave get 5% of the raw marks extra.
As I have found out with med applications you can't afford to be a shrinking voilet, if you don't stand up for yourseld, no one else will because they are competing against you for that place.
As I'm applying this year (in my gap) I feel that I should pass on some of the things my friend experienced last year. Do give each other help and advice, some thing someone tells you may just save your application.
Sorry this all sounds a bit serious.
Hope everything is going well for you all

Myself and a few friends of mine had issues with keyboard use.
My friend said that if he gets an Incident Report with his results, not only will he pursue legal action, but he'll also make the case a household-known one in the media. Lol.Medicine MB BS 2008-2013 (Second year) at

Agree
If they screw up mine, I will go mad!
My Father will get his barrister on to them and they will be very sorry indeed.
Oh btw if you're taking BMAT check out the BMAT forum for advice, I've left a load on there, as I did it last year.

Yeah, i think its been a mess. Im sure that if universities find out what a shambles it has been, hopefully they will scrap ukcat/switch to bmat next year and ignore the results.
I could probably think up a better medical test than pearson have!

I also wasn't aware of the online calculator!
Near the end of the exam, the supervisor guy came and tapped on my shoulder and told me to go out lol -- I was still doing my last question!A2 - Biology, Maths, Chemistry, Panjabi, AS - General Studies, Philosophy

They send me an 'incident report' about using the keyboard for the calculator, and treat me like some sort of criminal, when I was never told not to do so, my dad's lawyers will be all up in their ass.
I'll (or more correctly, my parents) will sue them till the cows come home - how can they accuse me of 'cheating' when everything I did was perfectly acceptable according to their rules??

There was a keyboard when I took the test. There's even a tutorial on the UKCAT website, teaching you how to use the keyboard with the test.

How did they even know you used the keyboard? I've read that loads of people on here did too, but they don't have incident reports. That's hardly fair.
