Red face Verbal Reasoning

Hi everyone, I'm due to sit the UKCAT this Wednesday and I'm starting to panick a bit when it comes to verbal reasoning. I've done the practice test on the UKCAT web-site and that seemed OK. But when it came to doing the one in the 'Passing the UK Clinical Aptitude Test and BMAT' book, it was a complete nightmare - a didn't even finish it and had a lot more wrong than I had expected (partially because I rushed most of the questions). Can anyone offer any advice on how to improve this or any other online tests I can practice as you all seem to have done amazingly in your results ?
Thank you.

Don't worry - I have that book, and the passages in it are ridiculously difficult compared to the real thing. I couldn't understand half the passages - the important thing is to understand the answers, and why they're right. You'll get the general technique that way. In the real thing, the passages are generally quite straightforward - the only problem is that they get a bit tedious after a while, because there are about 10 of them!
