ukcat2008
hi, i'm hoping to apply this year(depending on grades, GULP!)
doing ukcat soon and terrified, how much of a bearing does this test mark have on a decent application if it doesn't go well?
great if anyone can help!
Btw, hope to apply to Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and St Andrews/Edinburgh

Hah! Are you having a laugh or what? The UKCAT prep book is more than enough - those courses are for people with more money than sense and it raises worrying questions about how fair the process is if only well off people can afford the additional coaching to get into med school.
I started the A101 grad med course at Newcastle this year and had offers from 2 other unis GEP programs and I only spent £15 on a prep book to achieve 700 average."I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it." Twain
Phase II, Stage III accelerated Newcastle medical student.
Happy to answer any questions when I get 5 minutes...

You have applied to universities and got an unconditional offer so i was wondering what grades you were predicted and what else you did outside of college to get an unconditional offer

How much?
How much is everyone practising? or how much practise has everyone done?
I haven't started yet or booked my test. Do you think it is too late?

Confirmation Email
Just a quick question about the UKCAT exam. When you registered did you get a confirmation email straight away??? Is this the one you have to bring to the test or can I just print off the application details from the VUE pearson website? I dont want to get refused before i even attempt the exam!!!
