Study abroad
Does anyone have any idea which medical schools offer the opportunity to spend some time studying abroad? I am aware that Newcastle and Leicester do but it isn't made clear in any of the other medical school prospectus'.

I'm not sure about actually studying parts of the course abroad, but i can't think of any med schools that don't offer the opportunity for electives to be taken abroad, although the countries you are allowed to visit, and the duration of your stay varies between medical schools and is largely down to personal preference. For more information, read the electives section in the prospectus, alternative prospectus and websites. Otherwise, you can always email individual med schools with your questions.

I'm almost certain that Manchester let you spend some time in Europe.

If you want to do the European option at Manc you need to apply in semester 1 - and I think you need A level in Spanish, French or German.
You can find out more about Manc's programme here:

We are also campaigning to get SSM-exchanges in clinical years through the IFMSA - you can read a bit more about our plans here:

I know that other medical schools with MedSIN groups (which is probably most of them by now!) are already running exchanges - Nottingham is an example.
