Calm down man!
Those grades aren't that bad! In fact, they're good!
Most med school offers specifically state "Not including General Studies" so that grade doesn't matter.
What has economics got to do with medicine? Nowt! So forget about that one unless it's a matter of pride for you to up your grade. Consider resitting the economics modules (unless your college has foolishly cashed the grade in already) or attempting to get a higher grade on remark.
In short, you've nothing to worry about so concentrate on making the A Level grades you'll need!

Hey Noshy
Look man there's no point in panicing. Things aren't that bad.
In my eyes, the grades are not that bad. I don't know much about this new AS system, but they seem fine.
Grades are not the only thing the admissions people look at. You need to produce a really good personal statement, emphasising your work experience and that your also a well rounded person. You also need to speak nicely to your tutors to see if they will give you a predicted grade at A level of an A in either the Biology or Chemistry. That would give you AAB, which is more than OK academically.
Then, its just down to your Personal Statement, Reference and Interview. Don't worry it will work out.
You do need to think carefully about where you apply to to enhance your chances of an offer.
At the end of the day if things don't work out first time, which I'm sure they will, you could take a gap year and travel and then enter a year later (not the end of the world).
Good luck. Things will work out

I can't see either of you will have too much of a problem... just need to check the requirements of the medschools before you finalise your 4 choices.

I was quite happy with A in geography, B in maths chemistry and biology. I didnt think i needed to worry really. im gonna retake 1 module in both bio and chem. Are those grades really not enough?
