Open Days for 2007 ppl
I was looking at the open days scheduled for over the summer and there are a couple of schools I'm interested in holding their open days on the same day.
I'll attend one of the open days and try to arrange a visit for the other one. Will I get to see as much on an arranged visit? Will an arranged visit give a better or worse perception of a school? How much has an open day influenced your decision to apply to a school?

Thats definantly the same of me - about 3 are occuring on the 24th of June (Ive booked Peninsula for that day allready) and at school apparently we're not allowed to take more than 2 open days during school time which sucks (But i'll be off "sick" for a few times as well). So yep, i was thinking of going guided tours and arraged visits as well, but everyone is telling me to do lots of open days ugh.

Yeah, thats my problem as well - the Bristol, Leeds and Oxford open days are all on 28/29th of June! I'm going to the Oxford and Bristol open days and then arranging one at Leeds later on in the summer. I'm sure a lot of people have this problem - wheather its a clash, or they just cant make it, so I'm sure the guided tours will be worthwhile, they wouldnt run them if they were rubbish otherwise?
Some guided tours dont actually go to the accomodation and specfic departments though, I've heard the UCL guided tour and the Newcastle/Durham ones dont.

24-04-2006, 07:15 AM #5Don't Leeds have an open day on the 9th of September? My problem is that I'm booked in for their open day on the 24th (got a Chem module on the 23rd

I think the unis say that the official open day is better for looking around the uni in comparison to the med school one, but obviously the med school one is fine if you can't make it to the open day.
and yep will be 'sick' quite a bit, I reckon.xxx Gem xxx

The 3rd of July is the Medicine one, I'm already going to the Imperial Open Day on the 5th, and the Cambridge one on the 7th - I cant go to all three!
