Hi ads

New Scientist is very good. You could read the Student BMJ online as I don't think you can subscribe until you are at medical school (please correct me if I'm wrong). Getting into Medical School is a very good book that will give you a brief overview of issues in the NHS etc. You could track down some general science books on things that interest you and include these in your ps. When I applied I expressed my interest in genetics and evolutionary biology in my ps and read the following books to expand my knowledge:

1. The Selfish Gene - Dawkins
2. Genome - Matt Ridley

Have a look around for books on what you are interested in. There isn't really a need to revise anything clinical/medical as the admissions tutors know you aren't at medical school yet and thus, will not expect you to have very much knowledge on the subject.

well, ive been reading the New Scientist for about 6 months ar so now, and its actually very interesting, ive heard that things like the BMJ are a little dull and pointless for people who arnt doctors to read, as they will have no idea wat it is on about, but i would reccomend getting the New Scientist, i find it a very interesting read
