    Did anyone get an offer for deferred entry this year?

    Did anyone get an offer for deferred entry this year? Or does anyone know someone who gto an offer fro deferred entry.... not someone who applied normally and then after getting the offer deferred it.

    I heard that medical schools like gap years, but are reluctant to offer places when applying deferred entry, they prefer you to apply during the gap year for some reason, does anyone know if there's any truth in that?

    erm...i know quite a few ppls who applied deferred and got into med school.

    my cam offer is also deferred but i applied for this year and they asked to defer so i guess that doesnt count.

    Med schools don't care if you apply during or before your gap year.

    i think probably cam as firm and edinburgh as insurance, though if glasgow wants to come and win my heart...

    I know someone who applied for deferred entry for all four choices this year and got offers from Barts and SGHMS.

    I always thought that if you applied for deferred entry, you had to do so for all of them - esp because you take up a bit of your personal statement explaining that. Is it possible to apply for deferred entry to only some of your med school choices?

    Yes, you fill in the year of entry for each course choice separately. From what I remember, the options this year will be:
    • 06 - direct
    • 07 - deferred
    • 06/07 - either with preference for 06
    • 07/06 - either with preference for 07.
