Residency in Canada with UK Med Degree?

Hi I'm a 17 year old Canadian high school student and I will be going to UK next year to study medicine. After I get my degree (either MBBS or MBChB, depending on which school i choose) I want to come back to Canada or US to do residency. I hear that its extremely difficult to come back to Canada with a foreign med degree to do residency. Is this true? Can I have any details please?
