Urh surprise surprise, nothing!! So those 6 offers have gone out to 6 people who aren't on here then I guess :/

I rang Central Admissions around 2.30pm and they said they were just putting the offers through then. There were 7 of them. I haven't received anything, nothing magically appears in my inbox no matter how many times I press refresh I got my OH to call UCAS and someone told him that depending on when the universities update the system, the offers may not go out the same day. Apparently, it's quite possible to hear from UCAS on the weekends but they have maintenance planned for tomorrow. I wonder if that's had an impact on anything? Who knows? I hate this process so much.

Just for the record, this is the most opaque process ever! Transparency really doesn't come into it or they would've told us our places on the waiting list.

I have not heard anything. I spoke to Jane earlier and burst into tears on the phone (new lows) as I am just exhausted with all this now. As a team of doctors dictating the rules on all this you would expect them to empathise with the fact that people have lives and uprooting to move to swansea at 2 months notice is not easy. I don't see any reason why we could not have been told our positions on the waiting list, that way we could make informed decisions about what to do as on september. So fed up with it all!

*hugs* for you Louise1987. I'm fed up with this whole thing, too. I just don't know what to do for the best. I honestly thought at least one of us on the forum would hear some good news. Lord knows we deserve it!

I am sorry guys but dont give up hope people will get offers right up until the course starts. I think Swansea is being absolutely ridiculous, not letting people know their positions is wrong!!! I know that even when you know your place there are no garuntees but its nice to know how good your chances are so you can at least make a judgement on whether to prepare for starting med school. I think I might right a letter to them saying how awful the admissions process has been, it wouldn't even be as bad if they hadn't gone on and on about the transparency of the process!!! I'm so angry on all your behalf, this is my 3rd time applying so I know what its like to be rejected but it was never as hard as Swansea are making it for you guys, I really feel for you all. I'm keeping everything crossed that you will get offers over summer. Sorry about the rant but its just ridiculous!

I can't think of a valid reason why they couldn't tell us our places on the waiting list. My life is so upside down right now.
