Please could someone tell me what sporting facilities there are at Cardiff university. I play many sports but my main ones are netball, and hockey. I also enjoy squash, swiming and athletics.

Does the medical school have its own hockey team and netball teams or do people join clubs outside the University? Are there mixed teams for hockey or are they split into single sex teams?

Your input will be much appreciated.

cardiff is quite good for sports.... the univeristy has many clubs and the netball and hockey teams are quite active,,, they also have departmental teams ( not sure about the medcis side as i did psychology)

I was quite into rowing and squash too and the squash courts are quite nice and very central to most places.

However i think that the medics are quite active when it comes to their clubs so you will be spoilt for choice.... it is a beautiful place ( esp if you like cycling -along the taf trail) and has lots to offer. also the prices are very competetive too.( squash courts only £2.40- what a bargian!!)

    have fun xx

As we'll all be part of Cardiff uni from Aug then I didn't do a search on UWCM site... the fascilities are practically the same. You'll get the chance to sign up to medic related activities when you enrol!
