Hello,

Just wanted to give you all a quick update on what is happening so far.

I am really sorry to have to say that if you haven't had your interview by now, then you haven't got a place - really sorry to all those who are affected. Don't like being the bearer of bad news. I have sent those decisions today so they should be sent to UCAS tomorrow. I have sent the email today though and you should have received it by now

On a brighter note, sorry for this to be in the same thread...to all those who have been interviewed, I am working on the 1st batch of offers that will be sent this week, so you should know by Friday, I will send the usual email and the offers should be submitted to UCAS either Friday or the beginning of next week.

If you don't hear, then don't worry, I am still working on the reserve lists and am hoping to get these decisions out before the end of the month - my end of March deadline is still in tact

So just to reiterate, you should have had a email from me today if you haven't got a place, if you are going to offered a place in the 1st batch-you will hear from me at the end of this week and to all the others-you will hear from me before the end of the Month.

I hope this makes sense! My brain is starting to hurt just typing it

Hi Claire,

When you say the first batch of offers, should we assume you mean the top 70 candidates?

i.e. If we don't hear by Friday then we are on the reserve list?

Thanks for the email, Claire. It's nice to finally know. Last year was hell waiting for Southampton to say yes or no to my application and having you come on here to update us all has been great, because despite getting the email today, we knew back in January that it was all over - far better that way than dragging it out!

Anyhow, good luck all of you waiting for offers after interview.

I am assuming that I was in the first batch, as I was interviewed on the first day, and heard before Xmas.

Taking this into account, if I haven't been successful will I find this out on Friday, i.e. are rejections for people that have been interviewed but aren't successful being sent on Friday as well?

Obviously I'm kinda hopeful that I have got an offer though

I think first batch is the first offers to go out not rlating to when you were interviewed are when you recieved your interview date

Ever since reading Claire's post I have turned into a mad-woman, checking my email all the time! Don't think I will get an offer as think I messed up the inerview, but you never know. I want it soooooooo much! Anyone had an email yet?
