Is there any difference?
Well,as I've already written,I'm not in a med school yet,so I don't know the answers of some questions I can think of.
Is the life of surgeons in US hospitals different from the life of surgeons in UK hospitals? Is there any difference at all?

Insofar as Holby City is different to Grey's Anatomy, life as a UK surgeon is very different to that of a US surgeon. Couldn't honestly tell you otherwise. The career structures are different, the training programmes are different and the money is different I suppose. Those are things you can go and look up, but I doubt there are many people on here who can give you an accurate answer having experienced both.

Thanks.I used to think that in the U.S. was better. And guess why?Because of the American TV shows.
Sorry for bothering you again, but can you answer one more question? If in the U.S. the general surgery residency is 5 years long, then how long is it in U.K.?

After med school you do F1,F1 then two years basic surgical training (surgery in general) ; AFAIK the higher training in general surgery is then 5-6 years.
