Hello everybody! I am a second time applicant to SGUL, had an interview last year and failed miserably! I have a 2.1 in biomedical science and gamsat of 63 from last year (so not amazing but hopefully enough for an interview?).
Experience-wise I worked in a nursing home for people with dementia and 'challenging behaviour' full time for 10 months, and am due to start full time as a HCA in a hospital on monday. I also volunteered in a hospital for 18 months and did 2 weeks volunteering on holidays for disabled people. I've also just done 4 days shadowing 2 different consultants in a teaching hospital so hoping this will all stand me in good stead this year!
Good luck with your applications everybody, october 15th will soon be with us!

Hi guys, I am applying with 2.2 biochem degree :-(
I am about to start gamsat revision.. Am I too late ? Do I have any chance of getting good score as I have started late?

Hi everyone, Just put in my UCAS application too. St George's is my first choice as I live in London and really want to stay here, but have applied to Notts, Exeter and Plymouth for interview practice hopefully. I have my Gamsat result as I did the Ireland one (but London sitting) in March. Just waiting now I guess, and interview prep.

I'm an aircraft engineer specialising in avionics, so a complete change of direction for me. Definitely a mature student, at 32!
I have a question about the selection process, maybe you know the answer Martigan?
Once you have an interview, is selection based purely on MMI interview performance, or is work experience actually given a score?

Work experience is assessed as part of the interview, there is a station on it.

Can't help but feel a massive amount of resentment towards SGUL.
Who could've predicted such a low cut-off?

Why resentment? You can never predict the cut off. But it is surprising considering they usually stick close to Notts cut off, and this year Notts is 59 again.
