St George's Graduate Entry 2012
Hey guys,
I've applied to St Georges this year for the 2012 entry for graduates.
I've created this thread, so that all prospective 2012 entry students on the graduate course can come discuss and support each other throughout the application cycle.
Hopefully all of yours GAMSAT has gone well. Now it's just the anxious waiting for results!
It'd be nice to have a small introduction to all of those applying.
I graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science, and am currently studying for my MSc. St Georges would be my first choice of medical school.
All the best with the application

Hi Soptah
Thanks for setting up the thread. I'm just about to send off my application to UCAS (hope it's not too late). SGUL is my 2nd choice. In March I managed to get a score of 64 and didn't retake in September, so I'm hoping for an interview at least. I'm a mature (very) student.
Best wishes for your application!

Sounds great!
Couple of questions Martigan:
1. How important is the UCAS personal statement for SGUL (and Notts)?
2. How many of us oldies are on the graduate course? Any in their 40s?
3. How much PBL is in the course so far?
Thanks

I'm applying for George's too!
I don't think they take the Personal Statement into account, but obviously look.
Can't wait for the GAMSAT results...
Teshan, did you think you did good or bad in the GAMSAT before you got your results? I think I did terrible! Except in science...2012 GEP Applicant:

Hey guys,
I'm really worried that my experience is not enough.
What do you guys think of it.
I've done 57 weeks of shifts, 3 hours per week at a hospital where I use to befriend patients, and do their shopping and stuff. My last shift was in June 2010.
Then in July 2010 I did 7 days of shadowing doctors in an Indian hospital.
This summer I did 2 and a half months in India again, this time with a GP.
How recent do the work experiences need to be for St Georges? Within 2 years? I'm scared that my hospital shift is old now
I may rejoin for another 5 months or so.
Thanks guys!2012 Entry
