Yearly weighting (GEM)
Hey, just a quick question for any current SGUL students or anyone in the know - how are the different years weighted towards your final mark? My previous degree was a 40/60 split between the second and third year, those marks were divided amongst exams and lab work. How does it work in SGUL's grad scheme? I've had a mooch round the website but couldn't see anything.

Hey, I'm a 1st year GEP at George's. The criteria for the final mark (i.e. the one that counts towards F1 applications) is decided each year by the F1 selection committee, and they dictate which parts of which years should count. So there's no way of knowing in advance I'm afraid! I would think it's mostly parts of years 2-4 which will count though.
Hope that helps!

As Mudit above said you generally don't know for quite a while! Medicine isn't given a class you either pass or fail - but you get given your quartile position for the F1 application. The first year definately counts in some capacity... the website said it didn't until quite recently!
