I'm on the waiting list for 2010 entry. Anyone else?

Yeah, I'll probably accept it too. I'm still waiting on 2 other places but have more than half made my mind up.
I'm number 7 on the list, what about yourself?

No, no course or anything like that. When they interview for GEM at St. George's, they score all the applicants and
divide them into offers and rejections and then put a few on the waiting list. This means that you get an offer
for next years entry but might have to take up a place this year if one becomes available. Just a way of making
sure they get the right numbers.

Any waitlisters spoken to anyone from admissions? I guess we won't get a better idea until the deadline for putting decisions on track
I don't know whether to go for St Georges which is my preferred uni, or a guaranteed place for 2010 entry. So happy to be in this position, but really undecided!
I can't get anything out of them except that we probably won't hear until June when everybody makes their
decisions. I'm in the same boat with an offer for this year but thinking I make take the risk and accept George's...

I went on UCAS and made St. George's my firm today. I don't think you can have an insurance offer if you've already met the academic requirements for the course so I declined my other offer (for this year - aarrghh!)

Now hoping to hell that a few people drop out and I can avoid staying another year in a job I don't want to do...

So how has the waitlisting gone? Did you all get in for this year?

I have a whole load of SGUL 3rd year med students on my ward. One thought I was a doc the other day, when she saw me in scrubs after a patient knocked a jug of water over me... :/

Well I got in - yay! Just found out the other week. Have already handed my notice in, (with minimal cackling and smirking I'm proud to say.)
