GEP-number of places for 2010

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew how many graduate places are available for 2010? I know that the number of places have been increasing every year and am hoping that this year will follow a similar trend....

also, if anyone has the word document with the information regarding the 4 year course could they please pm me? I remember they had it for the last year but I misplaced it and they don't give out this document anymore

Hi,

I went down to the SGUL Open Day in September and I'm pretty sure the number of places was around 91 or 94, something like that anyway.

What they didn't really explain was how this varied. Obviously they offer places and also put some people on a waiting list, so for example if someone chose Nott's instead of SGUL, this would free up a place. From what I've seen on these forums I think there are in the region of 10-20 waiting list places each year, but don't take that as gospell.

Also I think if you're on the waiting list for this year and don't get a place, I think you automatically get one next year, I think that's the way it works.

From the info I got at the Nott's Open Day I think their numbers are pretty much the same as well. Also we were told at both Open Days that they interview approximately 300 applicants per year.

Thanks for the info. I did read on the GAMSAT website that they offer 114 places this year, but I'm not sure if that's right because it doesn't say so on their website.

you know... i would have sworn i saw some info relating to the number of interviews/places but on going back to quote it for this reply. best i could pluck out was "We will interview approximately 2.5 candidates for each place." from the gamsat site GAMSAT UK - St George's

perhaps there might be some more info on this word doc you talked about... could i also get a copy off you dances_with_lamposts or abc4589?
