You guys think a 59 will be above the cutoff this year since it's been 55 and 56 the past few years? I'm just paranoid I messed up my exam!

    Cut-off

Guys, how can you be sure what the cut-off is likely to be in relation to other years? It is so clandestine the way it is ultimately scored it’s impossible to predict accurately is it not - or am I missing something?

    What’s your rational behind 59?

It's frustraiting not knowing where the "bar" is. But it's going to be hard to guess. By expanding the course that would put a downward presure on the threshold. But if candidate numbers have increased as predicted (Current third years hedging their bets incase there are still no jobs when they graduate) that will push the level up.

I'm trying to avoid thinking about it and just trying to be fatalistic, as there is nothing I can do not other than interview prep in hope that I get one.

My own guess is that if you are below 55 it's probably going to be a no, and above 60 is probably going to be an interview. Inbetween is the twilight zone....

Even if I knew the cut off if would be little comfort as I haven't a clue if I would have got a score of 40 or 80.

Surely applications as a whole would be up, not just notts and georges. I wonder if we can find out the percentage change from last to this year with regards to GEP applications. Also most 3rd years I'd imagine would prefer ukcat over gamsat aswell??

I would be supprised if they are not up at georges not only due to the current economy, but also the suggested larger intake.

I'm wondering if Mrs Regan might divulge what has been the number of applications this year?

Sorry not to offer helpful info, guys, but just wanted to say good luck to everyone trying their luck for George's.

It's a while ago now, but I remember all too clearly the highs and lows and the agony of waiting... and waiting. If you think you're obsessing about Track now, just wait... it gets far, far worse!

Just remember to stay positive. Someone's got to get a place. Why shouldn't it be you? x

MMI looks really interesting and thanks for the head's up about it. I'm wondering how they're going to assess empathy.
