Free airport lift?

Hi, I just received an email inviting me to an international students' night. It also offers an online booking for free transport from the airport to the halls of residence. Not bad but...

I'm not really international, I'm EU. The international events are taking place beginning of October but I'm arriving beginning of September. I don't know if I got this email by mistake.

Do you think I'm still allowed free transport? After all I AM flying to the UK from another country and I'd love a free ride

I don't want to call the university as they might tell me I'm not allowed. I think I'll just go ahead and book it. I'm just wondering if any of the other years' EU students did have the free transport.?

And Francis, did you get the email too?

Thanks

Hi Julia

Nope didn't get it...I'm a home student... (yes, I have been assimilated ha ha). I think you got the email by mistake...

Saying that, I don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to tag along for the free transport from the airport - definitely worth trying your luck if it fits in with your dates! But, its those dates that are the prob - all the international med students will be on the 5 year course only and they start in October, so won't that free ride be too late for you?

Frances

i live in the UK but have been classed as an international student for fee purposes and have been invited to this too. im probably going to the student night thing but dont need airport travel since im here already!

dont think it was a mistake. the night/lift is designed for those new to the UK which im assuming you are.
