Have you heard anything from occy health yet? I also have a history of depression (classified as post-natal depression) and am expecting to be called in for a chat at some point.

Not long to go now until GEP starts and I just have this horrible paranoid feeling that they're going to tell me I haven't been off meds long enough or something. People keep saying that I wouldn't be so worried if I was diabetic for example but there's such a big stigma round mental illness - in fact I think this is the first time I've admitted to it on this forum!

Anyway, look forward to meeting you in a couple of months

Not yet, but the degree I just finished was at georges and they havent said anything although they know the story. There's no way you'll have a problem having been on meds, its so common. I'm asssuming it'll just be a chat during the induction week. I pop into uni on monday and inquire for a little clarity though I think!

See you sept!

Just wanted you to know, Im just out of psychiatric hospital ( literally past 2 weeks) and have spoken to the med sch I have a place at in Sept ( not this one, a different one). The woman was really nice and just said that they need to chat with the consultant and see if they can find ways to support me to allow me to do the course still. I was totally amazed because I actually thought after an admission at this stage and Im still pretty unwell that would be it and I'd lose my place!

So what im really saying here is Im sure it wont be a problem for you!!

Thank you!

I hope also that you get on fine with occupational health but as I say really honestly dont think it'd be an issue. All the best with your studies.
