Hi
I have been a Therapy Radiography for 15 years and have worked in numerous departments and also worked at South Bank Uni teaching on the post grad course although I am about to start training as a Dentist in September this year I have very much enjoyed my radiography career.St georges is an excellent University you will train practically at The Royal Marsden either Fulham Road or Sutton and at Guildford. The Royal Marsden is a world leader in cancer and the Sutton site has just had a major revamp of its linear accelerator equipment which now includes some of the most advanced equipment in the world, they also have a very active research programme Guildford have also had a huge investment of money for a new department and also has tip top equipment to train on.The therapy radiography course is very tough going and not to put you off it also has nationally about a 40% drop out rate which is very high although I think St Georges rate is a lot lower than this.Outside of London Sheffield hallam University is very good also but one draw back is you will be placed in one of the big nortern cities as the practical training takes place at Newcastle,Leeds,Sheffield and I think Manchester at the world famous Christie hospital but that might be linked to liverpool John moores Uni now not to sure so you have a lot of travelling between academic and practical placements.
Good luck I hope your interview goes well
