Talking The George's Song

Just in case anyone was wondering where the phrase "George's is the finest in the land, 'Cor Blimey!" came from.....

Many of the medical schools mentioned in the lyrics of our version don't actually exist in their original form anymore, which just goes to show how much better St George's is. It seems that several london medical schools have different lyrics to this song, but ours are as follows:
I don’t want to go to Mary’s

I don’t want to go to Bart’s

And they say the Royal Free, is not the place to be

And Tommie’s is a place for high-born fairies

UCL is a dump in central London

King’s is a hovel on the strand

I’d rather go to George’s,

Merry, Merry George’s

‘Cos George’s is the finest in the Land

‘Cor Blimey!

It's obvious that George's is the finest in the land, cor blimey... you don't need the song to tell you that!

The second verse goes something like this:

Monday I touched her on the ankle,
Tuesday I touched her on the knee,
On Wednesday I confess, I lifted up her dress,
On Thursday I saw it, cor blimey!
Friday I put my hand upon it,
Saturday she gave my balls a squeeze (balls a squeeze!)
On Sunday after supper, I rammed the f**ker up 'er,
And now we're sh**ging seven days a week, cor blimey!
