Any current SGUL medical students out there?

Are there any current St Georges Med students out there? I'm probably gonna be going to St Georges to study medicine in 2007 and was wondering whether anyone could give me further info about it. I mean in terms of course, student life, night life and the entire experience.

Central London is expensive! Plus it costs over a fiver to get there, and that's before you hit the clubs... Saying that, there are student nights on at various central locations that are quite a nice opportunity to meet people outside of the Georges community. HOWEVER, do not underestimate the wonders of Clapham, Wimbledon and Kingston for nightlife - bars and pubs. Kingston, particularly, has Oceana (we love it, yes we do) with 2 students nights a week and is dirt cheap... Plus the Union puts on regular events (the infamous discos, team circles, quizzes and sport screenings), so you'll never be short of things to do... If you're really lazy, there are plenty of pubs in Tooting and Colliers Wood which are happy to take your money and provide you with nice food and libations...

As far as 'hanging out' goes though, we have plenty of alleyways for such behaviour

Over a fiver to get to central London?!? Seriously, I wonder where you live sometimes. Call it two and a half quid max! Hurrah for Oyster PAYG!

a) planning to walk back
b) never returning to tooting
