hi.

biomed at st georges does allow u to transfer to year 3medicine, if u get something like 66% in year 1 and 2. then, if u get these percentages, theres an interview, and depending on the interview they can chose to make u an offer. its a very hard route to take, with no guarantee to transfer at the end of it, but each year some people do manage to transfer.

it wuld be easier to resit your gcses, but you dont even need to do that.

just get your AAA A lvls and that will superceed those gcse results provided they meet minimum requirements at individual unis.

and dont go near that shitfull biomed course.
the transfer is about twenty times arder to acheive than getting in using the ucas system.

the effort involved in a transfer is equal to the effort needed to get into med skool about four times over.

i wuld put in the effort necessary, allowing time for the ohter fings i want to do in ma life

instead of putting in twenty times the effort and losing the best years of ma life. wat r you, one of the clan or summat?

or to put that in context, why not study seven A lvls, it wuld be easier to accomplish, and giv you much more a chance of getting in than doing biomed to get the transfer.

now stop asking about this shit option and get on wif your AAAs so you can reapply for next year, macca.

(saving yourself two years, £10,000 and shitloads of effort studying the shittest topics around whilst being shitted on by the medics for being a biomed and by the biomeds becos they want the transfer afore u get it and will treat u like shit behind your back to get it).

I agree with Gizmo. I applied for med during sixth form and when I didn't get in I did a degree instead. I loved uni but its a hard slog to go through three years of uni if you know you ultimately want to do medicine. It would be much easier to get 3 As at A-level than consistent marks of 66% at uni. Smack your A-levels, get some med work experience (so unis will LOVE you), earn some money, travel a little and you'll be laughing through med school.
