Lightbulb GEP Parents

To any GEP parents at SGUL: How are you finding the course and how does the work tie in with your family committments? Any regrets? It would be really helpful to find out how you cope.

Yes there are a handful of us.

Personally, no regrets.

I am finding it extremely hard work and see very little of my family in the week. (they are almost in bed when I get home as they are still small.)

However, it would be easier if (1) I had a science background (2) I lived closer.

There is some flexibilty with self-directed learning and some afternoons 'off' for that purpose. People do say it is equivalent to a fulltime job. It probably depends on your background, how fast you learn and how you work best.

Hope that helps.
