Ronaldo, you need to find out what a professor is. Perhaps you could ask your super qualified father.

"An Honorary Professor is someone outside the University who has made a significant contribution to their field. They lend their expertise and support, often contributing to course delivery and development."

IE: It is an academic title. It is therefore linked to the university. The only difference with an honorary post is that you are not paid to do it. Sorry, Ronaldo, does not get paid big bucks!

I don't think you completely understand yourself. I know of honorary professors who are to my knowledge not attached to a university but have contributed to their specialisation. And I am not a professor I'm still at school.

I'd recommend you ask them then
    BSc (2.1) Psychology
    A Levels ABB
    UKCAT 692 (VR 700, QR 720, AR 670, DA 680)

Sooner or later they'll get sick of reading my applications and give me a place

Do you personally know these people, or is it simply a case of you've heard/read about them? If it's the former, perhaps you could ask one of them to clarify the matter.

What is the difference between a highly qualified doctor and your average doctor when asking a simple question about medical specialities? None.
