Just got hit by a track double-whammy: Unsuccessful's for both Soton and Cdiff. Ahh feck. (To be honest it probably happened earlier in the week but only just checked due to being too tired to internets after work this week). My last hopes now lie in the outcome of my Swansea interview, which I more than slightly titsed-up. Good luck peoples!

Whats makes you think that Martigan? Do you know a few people who have heard then - cause so far on here only 3 people have said they have offers? I'm sure your right but I hope its just the first batch of offers!! Fingers crossed anyway!

I'm guessing based on the proportion of people on here with offers compared to the total number of applicants. There are 4 offers on here for 40 places (i.e. 10%) yet we don’t appear to as much as 10% of the applicants on here. So unless we happen to have significantly more that our fair share of successful applicants, to me it suggests that most of the offers have been sent out.

I don’t know and being a candidate who has currently yet to hear either way I’m hardly objective, but it doesn’t seem sensible to believe that the only offers made are to people on here. Therefore is seems logical to assume most of the 40 places have now been offend to candidates.

I wouldn't assume that they'd handed out all the offers- its likely that people on here are likely to care more than the average applicant about attaining a place xx

I didn't say all, just most. Plus there will be some of those with other offers, who don't choose S'ton... I'm not saying its over, just not looking great.

Plus I agree we probably care more. But caring doesn't seem to make any difference other than how badly it hurts.

Emo martigan makes me sad You have superb academic credentials mate, do you have much work experience?

Just shy of a year helping on an Eldery Care ward at a DGH (weekends), and working as a request collector for a Hospital radio (a week night).

I would like to believe that there are still offers out there because many universities make more offers than places available to compensate for the people who decline their offers. Plus for people who receive an offer, they may be waiting on responses from other schools and some people are not hearing anything till mid April. They will therefore be unable to make an informed decision till then so they may not be able to respond to an offer within a week of receiving it. If we are to go by what you're saying then this process can be ongoing till April which is quite depressing.
