HELP!! Southampton or St George's
I can't decide my fourth option to study medicine:
St George's OR Southampton
As a londoner i want to stay in london & go to St George's.
BUT Southampton don't interview
No interview means more competition at Southampton but my teacher says that i need a back-up university. Also i don't think i'm really good at interviews!
If i was given the choice between the 2 i wud go wid St George's. But I rather get into at least 1 medical school.
HELP

Judging from your post, you want St G, so go there. Southampton is in no way a 'back up' university...yes there is a heck of a lt of competition, smething like 4500 applications this year.
You shouldnt be scared of interviews, in fact, you should love em. They give you a chance to show who you really are, and make you feel like the process is more in your hands and you have a real chance to grap the place at interview. I wish they did interview, but they dont.
If St G still do the guaranteed interview thing, then IMHO you have a better chance their than soton. If you get an interview, which is likely if you meet their criteria, then the interview (IMHO) isnt too taxing...and they dont have 4500 applications!! Dont choose Soton on the basis they dont interview or they seem like a back up uni, if you really can see yourself spending 5 or more years here and you genuinely like Soton/Uni/Course, go for it!
Completely your choice, and Good Luck.
On a positive note, the Liberty of the Seas is here!! Damn that one big boat!

Hey, i some how managed to get an offer from both southampton and st george's. Though for southampton there were so many people who i thought had a better application than me who did not get an offer. I think they were looking for something pretty specific as i read someone else's personal statement (who also got a place) to find that we had written similar things.
But now i am faced with the dilemma of choosing one of them as my firm! :s
