    BM4 timetable

    Hi all,

Hope that the application process isn't treating everyone to badly.

I applied successfully last year for the BM4 course. I deferred, so start this Oct. Can't wait. Currently in Sydney finishing of a PhD.

Anyway, was wondering if anyone out there has any idea about the timetable for the BM4 course. I found a post from last year, which had a timetable, but not sure if things have changed since then.

    Halls comparisons

Righty o. Any info would be sweet.

Good luck with the applications. Look forward to meeting everyone in Oct this year.

    Take it easy,

    Iwan

    Hi there,

I am currently on the BM4, and have attached one of our weeks time tables,

Mon: Facilitated Grad Groups consist of about 8-9 graduates and you go through a scenario (or "Trigger Material") which is supposed to get you interested in the week to come....then half the year divides into groups of 4-5 and goes off to GP placements around southampton....the other half has the afternoon off but has GP next week on mon afternoon...(i hope that makes sense?)

Tues:We're in winchester for clinical experience, we meet patients, take historys, blood pressure, look at clinical signs, loads of other things but cant remember...the half that didnt do the GP session on monday stays on for a whole day at winchester where they decend onto the wards and find helpless patients to practise on, the other half has the afternoon off...

Wed:Lectures in the morning at Southampton General Hosp, sometimes with the BM5 (ie symposiums etc) , but mainly BM4 lectures in the clinical school at SGH...the half that didnt stay on on tues, go back to winchester for the afternoon

Thurs:Lectures at SGH till 1pm then afternoon off..

Fri:Facilitated Grad Group sessions at Boldrewood and then a plenary session (where we all have to attend) and basically ties up any lose ends that you didnt understand that week....

Dont get bogged down too much with this if you dont understand it or its not clear, it'll be drummed into you in the first week!!

    Good luck with everything guys!!
