Graduates starting BM5 this October

Hello! I'm an (oldish) graduate starting on BM5 this Autumn. I know they take about 20 each year, are there any graduates on this forum making the BM5 their firm choice? Am very excited, I know Southampton well and the course sounds v good. I'm turning down an offer for the GEP course at Newcastle, although I know this is completely the right decision for me I am starting to panic a bit about money!!

Look forward to meeting people this autumn,

SallyB

I'm on the BM5 already in my 1st year. I'm 28 and am by no means the oldest! There's planty of fun and frolics to be had here, the course is awesome and Southampton is a good town too. Oh and by the way, I turned down a place at Warwick GEP for this and I don't regret it at all.

Hi Sally,

I'll be starting the BM4 course in September- I can well appreciate your concerns about the money, as I spent a fair bit of time stressing over how I would pay for a five year course if necessary! Also I admire your decision (and that of sotonmedic) to turn down the financially easy option in order to be true to your own needs and motivations. Lol, that sounded cheesy..

I think on the 5 year course you should be able to make a fair bit of money from part-time jobs during term and full-time jobs in the holidays.

I see from your location that you're in Hampshire and you say you know Southampton well- do you live in Southampton at the moment? Will you be going back into Halls?

See you in the autumn!
