I would like to ask if there are any University of Southampton students out there who are studying medicine ?
Is it a good Uni to study medicine ?
Please advice...I'm an international student from Malaysia.
Thanks...

Could some1 point me in the right direction??
IF you apply for the BM4 degree do you automatically get considered for the BM5 without wasting space on the UCAS form-some1 told me it was true but just want to be sure. :!:

This is true for the 4 year course at GKT. They automatically consider you for the 5 year course too.
For southampton, you either apply to one or the other. Im a graduate and have applied for the 5 year course at soton.

Hi
I'm a soton student, obviously on the BM5 course. Unfortuneately don't know anything about said problem but hopefully they'll email you about it.
Soton uni is great. I'm enjoying every minute of it. I find the course well organised and they are constantly asking you for feedback so they can make the course better. Shopping and night life is really good. If you live in halls, bus travel is free. Soton is not too far away from london and there are plenty of train services taking you all over the country.
any other questions, and I'll be happy to try and answer them.

I specifically asked Soton admissions this question before applying. They categorically stated that you MUST apply to both courses if you want to be considered for both.

Phew - cheers Sipadan,
Just got back on the forum after two weeks away and thought I had wasted a choice by applying to both 4 & 5 year courses! I'm sure I asked them this question ages ago, but still got a slight panic on!
