Cheers. A big improvement.

Those forums were only created during this summer, I'd wait and see if people come to them once the new academic year arrives. I know I'll be posting in the Irish forums if I finally get in.

Two suggestions, Admin: is there any way to migrate the old MSQs to the new system? It'd be a huge shame to have to start from scratch. Also, how about a DHTML menu at the top of each page to aid navigation, à la http://boards.ie? Would save you from trawling through the front page, although there is the danger of making the design overly busy.

I've demoted the individual us/canadian/oz med schools to sub forums so there's less scrolling down on the main page. I'll give them another few months and if there's no interest I'll remove them altogether. At the moment they seem to be starting to get used but we'll see how things go.

I'm in the process of working on the MCQs again. There'll soon be a much better system where you can submit and edit quizzes more easily.

I'll also look into the dhtml menu system (good idea!).

Cheers,

Chris

Hi,

I don't spose you could get rid of the "fixed width" formatting could you? I'm on a little laptop screen and I stopped reading the forum because having to deal with a left-right scrollbar was getting on my nerves

i second this motion. reading these forums on a laptop is a bit of an unnecessary hassle. if i ended up with arthritis in my right hand, MSG is gona get sued big time for destroying a career of a promising surgeon

Is there any chance of having a forum for Irish medical school admissions in general? At the moment it seems as if most people are asking general questions in the RCSI forum (the first one from the top).

Edit: or posting the same message in multiple forums. So, any chance?

Hi, just wondered if you had thought any more about creating a Graduate Entry Medicine sub-form, instead it just being included in the mature student forum. At the moment the mature student forum includes graduate entry, normal five year courses and also the access courses, so it is really difficult to find relevent posts. You did make a poll a while back to see what people's views were, and I think most people agreed a seperate graduate entry forum would be a good idea.

Thanks, Amy
