Hi, I'm also thinking of applying to Sheffield this year. I haven't made definite decisions yet but Sheffield is in my top 4 choices at the moment.
I'm in my final year of my degree so will be applying as a UK graduate. I still think I'll apply to three standard entry courses and one graduate entry though to keep my options open.Warwick 2nd Year

I'm not sure whether they had an official release as to what the cutoff for an interview was last year or whether it's estimations based on who gets an interview.
For what it's worth looking at the Sheffield admissions policy they take the top 20% of UKCAT scores from applicants and assess these applicants first to see whether they merit an interview. The remaining applicants are then assessed for the remaining interview spaces. I don't think working out the 20% at the top will be as simple as working out the 80th percentile of national UKCAT scores because Sheffield are publicly known to be UKCAT heavy. Therefore applicants with high scores are more likely to apply there, applicants with low scores are less likely to and so the results will be somewhat skewed. As such I have absolutely no idea what score will get people into the top 20%.
If they do have a well known cut-off score I'm not sure how it works with respect to the above. It could be that it's the score to get into the top 20% and therefore a higher chance to get an interview. On the other hand it could be that people outside the top 20% are assessed further and no one below a certain score of them attains an interview. Alternatively the system may have just changed to the above this year and the UKCAT absolute cutoff is a thing of the past or even a complete fabrication that was never used.
They may have given numbers on how many interviews/offers are given but I can't find them now.Warwick 2nd Year
