Anyone recieved interviews/offers/replies for 2010 Medicine?

Hiiii!
Had my interview at Sheffield yesterday, wasn't too bad.
My panel was a GP, an anaethetist and a 5th year med student. They were really friendly and the questions weren't too tricky

the 20 mins flew by! Couldn't believe it when he said, 'right, time for one last question!'

ooh, I have my interview in two weeks but I'm really nervous about it, my interviews certainly haven't gone as well as I would have liked so far this year, any advice?

Don't worry, they don't send out acknowledgements. I've not heard from them yet either.

vkk, Sheffield was my first interview this year so I don't have anything to compare it to, but honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be

It made all the stressing I did seem silly actually!!

They were really friendly at Sheffield and they didn't grill me on anything but something I would say is they picked up on quite a few things I mentioned in passing and asked about them, so I wouldn't mention anything (even slightly) if you don't feel happy talking at length about it.

Hey guys, i am so nervous about my interview this week!
Anyone got any advice/common questions asked (if you don't mind sharing)
DO they ask much about the NHS/GMC

Hi Greys Anatomy

First off, try not to stress too much

They ask a lot of questions in the 20 mins but most of mine were taken from my answers to previous questions; they picked up on a lot of what I mentioned and questioned it further.
I personally wasn't asked anything about GMC/NHS in any way that I would have had to have previous knowledge for, it was more opinion based.

They said we would hear within 3 weeks of the interview, so I thinks that's 17th December for me!!

Just make sure you are prepared, have some recent issues to talk about and don't be surprised if they pick up on things you didn't put much emphasis on in your answers.

Yeh like jenniferhelen said, they do pick up on minor things you mention so try to avoid topics that you are unsure about. They asked me if I knew what NICE was because I mentioned something about how there was a row over the licensing of herceptin!! Believe me, it isnt fun talking about something you know very little about :P

The interviewers are very nice though so they won't press you too hard if you feel uncomfortable
