    Hey nice grades (Y)
Even though I hate A stars lol, they make us gappers look stupid :P
Can I ask why Sheffield is your first choice by the way? I've heard a lot of good things about the course and uni but haven't had the chance to visit personally.
And their application process is quite lengthy so I'm presuming that their interiews will be held after Christmas.. I hope anyway lol

Hey, I'm interested in Sheffield too, though not my first choice and am also a 2011 applicant. Hsoj7, why would you say it's your first choice? How is Shef better than say, Manc?
[Btw, good UKCATs, I'm sure you'll get in]

Just out of interest, has anyone had an acknowledgement from Sheffield yet? I've got them from all my other places, and was just starting to wonder.

    11 A*'s, 2As at GCSE
6 As at AS level, plus one A(*) at A2
Predicted A*/A*/A*/A* next year, including a full AS+A level.

    712.5 on UKCAT.

Reading works wonders. It's on both the Sheffield University website, and also a few posts back.

    But anyway:

I applied to Sheffield Medical School but have not received an acknowledgement to say that you have received my application.

Unfortunately because we receive so many applications we do not send out acknowledgements to let you know that we have your application. Providing that you have been issued with a UCAS number after submitting your application to UCAS rest assured that we will have received your application in the office

Oops, I'd been searching around a bit but did my usual speed read method of reading the first and last pages.

    Good luck to you all

I'm at Sheffield, 2nd year, and I love it. I had my interview about the beginning of December, but the interviews go on a for quite a long time, so don't worry if you're still waiting to hear from them early next year

I've also applied to Sheffield although I'm fairly certain I won't get in as my UKCAT score is rather low and I've got a very non-traditional background. Still giving it a shot though.

US High School Diploma: 95.99 GPA
BA Medieval History, Minors in Equine Science, Latin & History: 3.5 GPA
    MA Medieval History
    PhD Medieval History (pending)

    UKCAT: 625
    4 yrs. St John Ambulance
4 yrs. Operating Theatre Nursing Assistant
