Accomodation tour?

Hey current Sheff students,

I've got an unconditional offer to start Sept 2009 and I haven't had any info in the post yet about accomodation. Obviously, I wasn't expecting this to happen anyways because it's only November and I'm guessing all accomodation packs get sent to everyone after all interviews are completed, i.e. April?

I was just wondering if anyone could let me know if Sheffield do accomodation tours? As I'd really like to have a look around Endcliffe Village & Opal before choosing. If so, how do I find out the dates & info on them etc? Should I be expecting something in the post?

Sorry if there is a similar question already on here; I couldn't seem to find any answers.

Not sheffield and I don't have inside knowledge. Also about to sign off for the night. However I do know that gap year students usually get this information sent to them in the June or July before they're due to start.

Normally accomodation packs head out between march and june.

If you book in for the open day,they have a tour of the accomodation.

Do they have an open day for people who have a place on the course?

I had an offer for biochemistry last year and they did a department open day. So I just wondered if they did the same thing, as they might show us accomodation then!
