A friend of mine was in woodvale flats last year and although they were nothing special, they are in a nice area, v close to earnshaw, sorby and halifax halls, but to be honest most of the flats are pretty similar and you'll get used to living in squalor! Its less likely that you'll get your first choice if you apply to endcliffe vale flats as they're highly in demand, but they're the only really nice self-catered accommodation.
My friend always used the bars at other halls, but had to make friends with someone who lived there to let them in and out with their security pass in an evening, but im sure you can get them activated for the nearest hall bar.

Wolfson Flats?
Sorry charli, can't answer your qn but wondered if anyone got any info bout Wolfson Flats. I didn't get the chance to look around any of the accomodation
and just wondered what people think of them.
I definitely want to self cater and so its between Wolfson and Crescent Flats i think. Anyone got any views on that?
Thanx, Anna

Do all catered halls have good internet connections? Broadband in every room? Expensive?

I was in self catered flat last year and the internet charge was included in the yearly rent not additional.

I don't know if Catherine comes on to the board much these days, but I think she was in Taptonville Flats. Try doing a search under her username, she may have posted something about what they're like in another thread.
