How's everyone feeling about Wednesday? Anyone got conditionals or anything like that?

I will be applying, but I am really excited about wednesday. CAN'T WAIT. It is now or never. Either I get those As and Bs and apply as an undergraduate or go the long way InshAllah I am hoping I get what I want. What adv highers/highers did u sit? Have you got an unconditional from Aberdeen? And do you know anything about this? I have heard that Glasgow will now give offers without interviewing aswell?

Yeh well all the best with wednesday, as long as you've put the work in and kept a cool head you'll be fine.
I sat advanced chemistry, physics and maths and a crash higher in biology this year.
About Glasgow, yeh it's true that this year they did hand out a number of conditionals without interview. You'd most likely need 5As, a really good ukcat and good personal statement but it is possible.

keiran91 do u have any idea abt HOW HIGH THE UKCAT score should be for a con offer from glasgow without an interview? (u can tell I am not a fan of interviews hehehe)

Do you both think that if I don't take four adv highers, I am thinking of dropping one, would give me a greater chance of getting an offer as apparently it would mean I am not a geek lolz I dont know how unis wud look at this, do u think it shows im being a bit too ambitious, it is alot of work, but then ppl do manage. Given I have extra-curriculars, should I stick with the four, I really want todo them becus I can't think of which one is my least favourite. thnx

quite a few of y friends got offers from glasgow w/o interview and they did just 2 AHs - just to note while i renember here

i also had a very similar friend who had 5 As and pretty much the same credentials bt then had an interview and was rejected :S

Oh good luck to everyone waiting for results! I remember being so nervous for Standard Grades (funnily enough felt ok about Highers/Advanced Higehrs!!)
I also remember being woken up at 7am when the postman arrived and being quite angry at being disturbed from holiday lie-ins \=| haha.

What's this about Glasgow giving conditionals without interviewing? I thought everybody needed to be interviewed, am I wrong?

This year - and as far as I'm aware, it's the first year in a long while - a number of applicants were given conditional offers without interview.

I'm not sure what to make of it. Even a "just to make sure" interview couldn't have hurt... Can't wait to meet the lucky buggas come September though (fingers crossed!)

thnx king-x. I am really confused about what to do. I don't want to be put at a disadvantage by doing four advanced highers, all sciences. I am unsure whether I should drop one and take higher comp or philosophy, just to "show" I have other interests. extremely confused and worried HELP HELP HELP...
