Crash Higher Chemistry
Has anyone here (or know someone that has) ever been accepted to a scottish medical school doing a crash higher chemistry in S6?

I did a Higher Chem in s6 (I had a 1 in SG though), but didn't apply until after my BA. However my school (which feeds hugely into medical schools) saw no problem with me doing it in S6, even when I was dithering over medicine - I'd just get a conditional offer, they said. I'd phone the schools to check this, however.

Hi,
I did crash higher chemistry (i'm assuming this means that you do it in sixth year when they'd preferred you'd done it in fifth year?) and I've got a conditional for Dundee to get a B. I also got a 1 in standard grade though.

A friend of mine hadn't done chemistry before 6th year and she got a conditional offer for Edinburgh of a B. So your safe.
