Call for abstracts for the Student Research Presentation Prize
Student research presentation prize evening

Abstracts of original research undertaken during undergraduate studies will be considered from UK and Eire medical, dental or veterinary students and from those within six months of qualifying. The research studies may be basic science or clinical projects. The prize is not intended for research undertaken as part of a PhD degree.
Abstracts of no more than 200 words must be received by Monday 17 September 2007. Please underline the main author who must be the person presenting the paper. Only one presenter will be accepted for each paper. he full names and signatures of co-authors are essential. Please note: Eight papers will be selected for oral presentation; each paper will be allowed 10 minutes for presentation, with no more than 10 slides and 5 minutes for questions. Up to twenty papers will be selected for poster presentations; dimensions of posters will be given to those who are selected. First prize for oral presentations is £300, £150 for the best poster presentation plus additional prizes.
NB. Abstracts from non-members of the RSM will be considered but a non-refundable handling fee of £5.00 must be sent with the abstract in the form of a cheque made payable to the Royal Society of Medicine
