Become the voice of your university at the RSM!
Did you know each university can have up to four representatives on the RSM Student Members’ Group committee. Representatives from each medical, dental and veterinary school in the country are invited to sit on the SMG committee.
This enables us to get feedback on the services we run for students, and also to help us find out what the students at each university need. This is a great networking opportunity and also helps us provide the best services for you and your university.
If you have an idea for a meeting, we can help you set this up, either to be held here at the RSM or at your university. Get more involved with organising academic and social events and the services we provide to RSM student members.
As the SMG goes from strength to strength, and with membership numbers from out of London steadily rising, we are now setting up regional groups who meet and organise their own local meetings with the support of the RSM. We now visit many fresher's’ fairs, have meetings using video-conferencing and a number of ‘out-of-house’ meetings.
Want to become more involved? We currently have vacancies at your university, for you!

I would maybe be interested in becoming the Queen's, Belfast representative. What does it entail exactly and where are the majority of meetings held? I see that I have to goto at least two of them a year, yeah?

All meetings are held at the RSM. However if you have a pro-active region, you can hold your own meeting in your region and then write a report for the committee on what was discussed.
We understand it may be difficult to make it down to London.
We do pay full travel expenses for up one representative from each university. And for the Annual meeting we pay for every committee members travel expenses.
Any further questions, let me know.Marie Blythe
