hi, yeah i applied for biomed. got a 'ucas day' on the 9th december. but this is not a formal interview and is only for people who live within reasonable travelling distance. i dont know if i got it quite early because i live near and therefore need to attend the ucas day. im also a reapplicant so already have my a-levels which might have helped with the early response.
i really hope they dont reject me after the ucas day - i get the impression its quite informal. it would be nice to know im not going to have to have 2 gap years. haha.
good luck.

Some of my friends got this ucas day as well, probably on the same day as you yet I have not heard from them at all
I really dont think they will reject you as I believe that you have also applied for medicine so you would definately meet their entry requirements. I have not received an acknowledgement nor an invitation for this ucas day, does this mean that they have already rejected me??its quite depressing that my back up option has just totally ignored me
good luck and iam quite sure you will be fine and get an offer

thanks yeah i hope so. try not to worry too much about it. they may not have read all the applications yet. if worst comes to worst you could get a place through clearing. last year i didnt know whether to go through clearing but looked anyway and found there were places for biomed at some really good institutions. or you could take my route and reapply. it seems to be working in my favour at the moment (touch wood) because i know which unis are looking for the qualities i have, and i have a better idea of the interview styles, as well as already having the A-levels.
anyway thats pretty early days to be saying that. even if you dont get in for biomed you still have a chance of getting in for med. your stats are really good. again good luck

p.s. i see you have an interview for liverpool - i had mine on monday.
a little tip - prepare some ethical topics to talk about. my mind went completely blank when they asked me to talk about one so i ended up talking about euthanasia. not the easiest one to talk about so i ended digging myself some massive holes. other than that its a pretty friendly interview so try and stay relaxed.
oh and also teamwork - i didnt actually get asked anything about this this year, but last year it pretty much formed the basis of my interview.

i've spoken to my teacher and he recommended me to talk to the admissions tutor whether or not they have received my application, as he suspects something might have gone wrong so i sent them an email today,,so just waiting for a reply now. so you applied for liverpool as well,,hope your interview went good
i'm really nervous as this is like my first interview in my lifetime:P was it more about work experience? did they have the ps with them or expected you to start from scratch? how long was the interview? im sorry for asking so many questions,,,im so nervous
best of luck with your other interviews as well
