I assume *how you wrote it on your UCAS form* refers to the PS...in which case, yes, experience, charity and voluntary work dominated the central section of my statement. I was led to believe my PS was *exceptional* by my tutor and head of year.
I had 4 A grades @ AS [12/12 A-grades for each module - no retakes] and have a 4 A prediction for A2.
So I'm still at a loss as to how I was denied a mere chance at interview. Lots of friends have said *maybe it was a computer error* or something, but in searching for a rational answer, myself and my referee have come up short.

I did email them graciously stating my case as politely, clearly and concisely as possible, only to be given a generic email response informing me that *perhaps there were more competitive applications at this cycle* and that i *am welcome to apply again next year* [without prejudice]. :S
Should I have phoned them up after receiving the rejection [which was in early March]? Because they had interviews until mid-March taking place...

No! That's it! Not a single offer for this year...[and its not like my GCSEs were bad...7A*s, 3As] and rejected w/o interview from kings n Imperial too!

You know what, thats exactly what so many of my friends have suggested. My referee didn't really buy into it...but supposing there was a possibility, how would one go about checking this?
I mean , the fact that UCL, Kings and Imperial sent me generic impersonal responses, not once referring to my actual application specifically, could that perhaps make this a possibility?

wouldn't know 'bout that being a possibility seeing the nature of my offers, could phone them or something, would be pretty unlikely IMO that you'd get straight rejections from both UCL and imp with those grades, etc.
unless we're missing something obvious here...

Yeah it seems that way, but I've been scanning my Application for ages since the bad news/poor luck etc. and have yet to pin-point it.
The only thing I did which perhaps wasn't quite a typical *tick-the-box* on my A100 application was that I decided to start my PS with a quote from a medical philosopher...only afterwards was I told it was unconventional...

If you could come up with some other possible suggestions as to where people go wrong, or where I could've done something *not-so-great* in my application, please say!
