Transferring to RCSI?
Hello there,
I have completed my pre-clinical studies at a UK medical school and for personal reasons I am looking at possibly transferring to the RCSI to complete my clinical studies. I note from the RCSI website that they are able to consider transfers on an individual basis but such requests must be made in writing.
I wanted to know if there's anyone on here who has transferred to RCSI from another medical school and what the process was like? Maybe you know someone who has been in this position or you know some information about the process? That would really be helpful.
Also could you tell me a bit more about the course at RCSI i.e. what form do assessments take, how tough are the exams to pass etc, what is the pass rate/drop out rate like every year. If there is a chance I may be able to come to Ireland to study I would like to know what I should be realistically expecting beforehand.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
