Suggested reading prior to Radiographer training?
I'll be starting my university course this September for a degree in Medical Imaging, for my career in diagnostic radiography.
In the couple of months between finishing College and starting University, I'd like to get some studying in that will set me up for when I start.
Can anyone suggested books - other then Gray's Anatomy - that I should purchase? I'm particularly worried about the Physics side!
Thanks.

Firstly- don't worry about the physics!
I am a 3rd year radiography student, and have recently had an interview at Keele to go to med school.
Radiography surprised me in that it is not that much physics based- you need a good knowledge of anatomy and physiology tho.
I would reccomend buying a book by Christine Gunn, entitled "bones and joints" which was my bible in the first year. Dont get an anatomy book yet- try a few from the library and see which you prefer, there are so many out there. A basic radiographic positioning book is useful, but dont start to look at it too much yet. It will also help to get a book like "sociology as applied to merdicine" and any health psychology books.
Good luck with your studies. It is a great choice.

I would just take the summer off. You will have plenty of enforced reading to do once you start, and it's probably better to wait until you are at university before buying textbooks and trying to pre-emptively teach yourself the material.
