Yeh I had to fly from England too, I left Leicester at 4:30am. Arrived in Belfast at 8:00am and my interview was at 3:15pm, I was so tired. I almost missed the flight back home too.
I am really annoyed with myself with regards to how I performed yesterday, some of the questions I couldn't think of anything to say, lots of "ums" and "erms". Others i never had a chance to expand on.
I need a miracle I think.
I would love to know how they score us, and also how many grads are interviewed. Though I know it isn't going to make any difference.
Also nobody turned up for my campus tour which was a shame as I really wanted to see the campus and medical school.
Did anybody go on a campus tour?

Yeah nobody i saw went on the campus tour? From what i seen may of the people being interviewed were from Northern Ireland. I went to Queen's myself so didn't need a tour. How was the tour?
Yeah i totally agree. I found a few of the stations really tricky!
Hopefully it won't be to long until we find out!

Hey everyone,
My interview isn't until February, as I wasn't free for any of the January dates. I suppose the main upside to being later is that at least I wouldn't have to wait that long to find out considering they won't tell anyone until everyone has been interviewed!
The interviews sound like you can't really prepare for them, and just have to think on your feet. Eeep. Slighly nerve-wrecking!
I'm sure everyone did better than they thought though, it's always the case
A lot of people I know applying this year are from Northern Ireland already so I can't imagine they'd do the campus tour, but if you are from England it's definitely worth checking out the campus and the Union etc. I didn't personally study at QUB for either my UG or PG but they are pretty good craic.

Hey guys,
Also had my interview today, it went ''okay'', not great, but okay. but only time will tell. It certainly wasa tough nail to crack. Although funnily enough contrary to what most ofwhat you guys have said most of the people I was with weren't from Northen Ireland and we actually did get a tour of the campus (not the medschool tho). Accomodation, library, sports centre etc if you have any questions Jenny and Liz just ask.
Touch wood for an offer in March!!

Hi to all who went for interview.
Don't be too hard on yourself. Post interview reflections are almost always gloomy and cringeworthy, and we can all be supercool and knowledgable with the hindsight google in place.
My instinct is that you will have done better than you think. You have ticked all the pre-requisite boxes to be called to interview, so unless you did something really daft, the chances are in your favour.
Good luck, keep me posted on progress - March will soon be here.

Hey guys i'm sure you all did really well in interviews!!
I'm starting to worry though- me and my friend had ours on the wednesday and thought they were better than expected! What makes you all worry? They know we aren't Doctors (yet) so we aren't going to have perfect answers and know exactly how to give bad news. I found that bit the toughest- breaking bad news- i know i felt a bit awkward and like i was forcing my reactions a bit. I also "emmm'ed" and "umm-ed" a fair bit, but i hope that was better than saying something silly out right.
I do think i prefer the traditional question and answer interviews- at least you know where you stand better with them.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

Hey,
Has anyone heard about the February interviews as yet?
FYI: QUB this year has one of the lowest Applicants:Places ratios.
Hope everyone is well,

Ah, I stumbled across the information in a TSR forum. I guess the statistic really doesn't 'mean' anything, but compared to other Medical schools that have received, say 18 applicants per place, QUB's apparent 3 applicants per place seems more of a hopeful ratio.
After e-mailing some people at QUB pre-Christmas they told me that I would be in the February interviews but I have had complete radio silence since then...
I assume they'll tell us this coming week.
