What is the scored required for this year?
I have 6 A*’s, 4 A’s and 2 B’s = 30
UKCAT score 620,700,620,590 = 2
Total score = 32
Am I right in thinking UKCAT’s are scored 1+ for 600<, 1- for 600> and 0 for 600= ?
And B’s count for nothing ?
I was just wondering do you think this score is high enough to apply?UKCAT - 632.5 average
AS - 4 A's in Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Maths
GCSE's - 6 A*'s, 2 A's and 2 B's
Manchester - offer AAB FIRM!!!
Nottingham - no interview, unsuccessful
Leicester - offer AAB Insurance
Belfast - unsuccessful

im not too sure if you get any points for B's, you might get 1 bt i dnt know. bt even if you don't you still have an overall score of 32, so if you want to go to queens you shud def apply! for 2008 entry you needed 30 points, and when i was at the open day the admissions man told me that this wasn't likely to change, but it does depend on how many apply. so if you wana go 2 belfast you shud apply you seem 2 have everything that they ask for so go 4 it! hope tht helped

They take ur 9 best subject awarding 4 Pts for A*, 3 for A.
This is from their website,
"In considering applications, GCSE performance in the best 9 subjects will be scored with 4 points awarded for an A* and 3 for an A grade. Points are added or subtracted for UKCAT performance and an overall score calculated. AS performance may also be taken into account. Evidence of commitment to medicine, motivation, communication skills and initiative are important."
Also they do not allow resitting A-level.
Hope this helps.
