Im starting my mental health rotation in september and they hve recommended a textbook of psychiatry by puri et all .. it looks quite good .. also the oxford handbookf of psychiatry is a concise (lab coat sized ) pocket sized book with everything in.

Psych books
A really excellent new psych book is the one by Neel Burton: it's in full colour and full of case studies and interesting tit bits. Also very clear and concise.

Neuropsychiatry and Behavioural Neurology Explained: Diseases, Diagnosis and Management: Amazon.co.uk: Alexander Joel Mitchell: Books
This book comes so highly sought after they've run out of stock, although I'm not sure if this will suit your needs for undergrad study?

Saddock and Saddock's Synopsis of Psych is great - runs to about 700 pages, but easy to dip-in and-out-of! - you can get an edition 4 years old or so off Amazon for around a fiver (60 new)
