What do we need to do if we're thinking of doing medicine in USA?
Hi all!
I've recently completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and gotten my IB Diploma as well as my High School Diploma. Apparently USA doesn't care about IB Diploma but looks more into High School Diploma. If that's the case, that's good.
So, how exactly can I go about getting into med school in the USA? Are there accelerated programs or is there a possibility of doing medicine in 6 years with everything included in the one course? Also is the 'pre-med' I hear about for people who have only completed grade 12 or equivalent? So it's like UK's bachelor of science before your 4 year graduate entry medicine?
What else do I need to do? Any admissions test, if so when? Do I need to do the SATs and if so when?
Thank you!
